HR magazine releases annual survey on HR compensation

For the most part, HR professionals received more total cash compensation in 2007 than in 2006, but some positions saw drops in cash compensation, according to the 2007/2008 Survey Report on Human Resources Personnel Compensation, published in the November issue of HR Magazine. Some employees are more productive when the boss is gone

Most employees (75 percent) say they are equally productive when their boss is away, while another 23 percent say they actually get more done when the boss is out. Those are the results of a recent ComPsych Tell It Now(SM) poll. ComPsych Corp. is a provider of employee assistance programs. Employees were asked: Do you get more or less work done when your boss is away? The results:

Same. My work is not affected - 75%

More. I'm able to work without distraction - 23%

Less. I tend to procrastinate when the boss is away - 2%
