Joan Buchanan HR Consultant, HR Management and Recruitment Services joanb@employersinc.com Joan delivers training in effective employment interviewing, recruitment and leadership fundamentals both with and without an HR emphasis. Joan also manages the human resource outsourcing line of business for EA. This is a staff of talented HR professionals that will come to an organization on a part or full-time basis to fill in for leaves, provide support during transitions or just act as an extra pair of hands. Joan has a strong background in employee relations, staffing, policy development, and internal grievance resolution. Joan was a human resources generalist for a computer manufacturer, a manager for a unionized hearing instrument manufacturer, a regional human resources manager for a large insurer and a research associate for the Employers Association, Inc. prior to beginning her consulting and training career also at EA. Joan has a bachelor's degree with an emphasis in human resources from the University of Northern Iowa. She holds the SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources) certification from the Society for Human Resource Management. Stephen D. Bullard Consultant, Training and Development Services steveb@employersinc.com Stephen Bullard has fifteen years of Management experience as a Production Manager as well as a Human Resource Manager at Schreiber Foods, the world’s largest customer-brand dairy company. With a unique background of working directly within a manufacturing and administrative environment, Stephen's experience makes him well suited to provide Leadership Training to others. Stephen can effectively train managers on all the Fundamentals of Leadership but is uniquely talented in helping managers with conflict resolution, dealing with difficult people, interacting effectively with employees, coaching others, communicating expectations, and getting the most from employees while creating an effective team. In addition he has extensive experience providing EA’s services in employment law and organization development. With primary expertise in bias reduction and diversity competency development, he has helped individuals and organizations manage themselves through change for nearly 15 years. Jeffrey has designed and implemented strategic initiatives, workshops and experiential learning programs on a number of topics including race, sex, religion, gender identity, disability, sexual orientation, cultural interaction, equal opportunity, affirmative action, discrimination and workplace harassment. Additional areas of expertise include customer service and creativity in the workplace. Jeffrey holds a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts from De Sales University, a master’s of fine arts (acting/directing) from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, and certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources from the Society for Human Resource Management. Gmach Survey Manager/ HR Consultant, Compensation Services georgeg@employersinc.com George has 20 years of compensation consulting experience in multiple industries and with both large and small companies. George’s experience includes: eleven years of manufacturing industry experience, requiring communication with all levels of employees. Instructor in public and private sector compensation at the university level. Facilitator of employee involvement teams for 5 years at Federal Cartridge/Hoffman Engineering in early 1980’s. Managing consultant on numerous private sector, public sector and not-for-profit compensation design projects. Experience with use of multiple job evaluation systems and designer of the EA Job Evaluation System. He has served as an officer for professional human resource associations and is a military veteran. Her area of expertise include strategic planning, coaching, staffing analysis, team building and communications. Diane has more than twenty-five years' experience in human resources, organization development and senior level management. He is also the former Quality Director of a medical device company with revenues of 350 million annually. He is a certified lead auditor for the ISO 9000/13485 Series/14000 Series with the status of RAB Quality Management System –Auditor, and American Society for Quality - Certified Quality Auditor.
