Family Medical Leave Act as Amended:   An Overview
This half-day seminar is a basic review of  the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), including the 2008 and 2009 changes:
  • The revised FMLA regulations effective 1/16/09; and
  • The National Defense Authorization Act Amendments addressing military leaves
The focus will be on understanding coverage; concepts such as "serious health condition," "qualifying exigency," and "intermittent leave;" compliance obligations; and best administrative practices, including forms, for legal compliance.
